A murder investigation has been initiated following the tragic death of a 66-year-old man who succumbed to injuries after being punched outside a village pub in Leicestershire. David Darke sadly passed away in the hospital on Saturday, approximately six days after the incident occurred near the Crown Inn in Appleby Magna, located in North West Leicestershire, on December 21.
In a recent development, Leicestershire Police indicated that a 36-year-old man, who was initially apprehended on charges of causing grievous bodily harm, has since been re-arrested under suspicion of murder. This significant escalation underscores the gravity of the situation.
