They also acknowledged Harfouch's withdrawal, citing his 'expressed confusion, his public mischaracterization of the program, and his stated desire not to participate.' Furthermore, the MUO stated that Harfouch is no longer permitted to use any Miss Universe trademarks or associate himself with the organization.
